In fact, for 23 years--I bought 99% of all my Pokemon in 1999--I didn't! JAPANESE FOSSIL IN MY OPINION IS THE GREATEST POKEMON SET OF ALL TIME. I love the English Fossil, too, but the artwork in Japanese Fossil is simply unsurpassed. Since there are only 62 cards in Japanese Fossil, this is not a hard set to put together.

If Base Japanese is beyond your reach right now, then Japanese Fossil is a great place to start your Japanese Pokemon collection or a great place to invest. Japanese Fossil, Japanese Team Rocket and, Japanese Gym Heroes, Japanese Challenge (Gym Heroes 2) and Japanese Neo Genesis are among the most undervalued Japanese Pokemon series around.
