PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY AND IN ITS ENTIRETY! I get paid by the word. I tell people the truth whether they like it or not. Not long ago, I found several more Japanese base packs in my warehouse.

I thought I would do something a little different and a little more fun. I did not weigh this pack. So your guess is as good as mine.

So since the average for Japanese Base is one holo every three packs, there is a 3 to 1 chance this pack contains a holo. And if you don't get a holo in this pack, you probably overpaid by a few bucks--for now anyway. AND IF YOU DON'T OPEN IT, YOU WILL HAVE ONE UNOPENED JAPANESE BASE PACK THAT I BELIEVE WILL BE A GREAT INVESTMENT IN THE FUTURE. My four children will each inherit one sealed box (60 packs) of Japanese Base.

This is the pack that started it all! We are, in my opinion, at the BEGINNING of the rise in Pokemon prices. I said that 30 years ago about 1986, 1987 and 1988 Fleer Basketball boxes--and I was right!

And prices for those three years are still LOW. Of course, I could be wrong, about early Japanese Pokemon but I don't think so. One thing I have learned in the past 35 years is that when you think prices of an item in demand are high, they are really low. And when you think prices are lowof an item not in demand, they're really high.

That is true in every market--real estate, art, sports cards, and other collectibles. The boring rules: 1 No discount. 6 My weekly vintage English language Pokemon booster pack auctions always start at 88 cents with no reserve.

7 If you have a question, please ask. 8 I specialize in rare but affordable memorabilia and collectibles with primary focus on Pokemon cards and plush, sports cards, framed and unframed photos, Marilyn Monroe items somebody has to do it! And rare Beanie Babies and Beanie Buddies. 9 The most important rule of all--DON'T FORGET RULE NUMBER ONE!

A couple of eBayers have asked me in the past if this is a 1st edition Japanese Base pack. THERE IS NO SUCH THING. What they are referring to is the price on the pack. The first Japanese Base packs were priced at 291 yen; several months later they were re-priced at 300 yen. Other than that, there is NO difference.

The 291 yen packs do not have 1st edition marked anywhere on the cards. Only the price on the pack was changed. It is the only sealed box of Japanese base I will ever sell.
